about

"I wrote this piece after John B. Smith, of the Invaders, told me about a pilgimage he made to Montgomery, Alabama when he participated in this Lynching Memorial. He was given the names of John Roe and John Powell and two jars and two seperate locations where they were lynched. He went to both sites with the help of his GPS and collected the dirt from below the trees and brought them back to the E. J. I. where they will one day made into obelisks with each of their stories written upon them and as a part of the Memorial of Peace and Justice. It just so happened that by adding 10 seconds of silence after the recitation that the time of the track was exactly 3 minutes and 16 seconds and so was born our "Ode to the Memorial of Peace and Justice (John B 3:16)" - King Khan
